It turns out the voltage LG Optimus 2 X generated over the last few weeks will be short-lived because the newer and cooler LG Optimus 3D is just around the corner, as seen in the following teaser video.
LG came out yesterday with a little press release announces that they will demonstrate the world's first 3D smartphone to the world at MWC 2011.
Optimus 3D, smartphone, it leaked a photo that we talked about a couple of days ago. Since it was not quite sure if this is the real deal, but now that we have the official LG teaser video, all lines.
We have extracted the image to the left from the video below and you can clearly see the resemblance with the phone leaked by Phandroid.
Another interesting thing here is that this new teaser video requires Optimus 3D The world's first Dual Core Multi Channel. Now Optimus 3D surely not be the first dual core smartphone (LG Optimus 2 X has the honour), so we bet the central part of this statement is "Multi-channel".
Yesterday we told you how the latest Android versions really aren't using dual-core Tegra 2 chip which lacks multitasking features. The only Android OS version that have official support for multi-core processors are actually 3.0 honeycomb. But this has not yet been confirmed for smartphones.
Google now has a honeycomb event today, then we should finally get everything about what honeycomb can and cannot do. So we guess, we'll soon know if Optimus 3D will be the first smartphone to run Android 3.0.
And now for video we promised you:
We count the days until MWC 2011, builds excitement really up. We love to see new tech we have never been seen before. Go ahead, LG, surprise us.
