XPERIA play revisited, more specs revealed

XPERIA Sony Ericsson's play is probably the worst kept secret. Gaming buzz keeps leaking every week reveals even more of its specifications to the public. Today we have another survey for you, complete with more live shots and benchmarks.

The first thing we learn is that internal free memory by running Duell-XPERIA play. Pre-release device appears in the bulkhead has 315 MB for apps, but Android already allows memory card installs so no biggie.

As you already know, XPERIA play based on the same Qualcomm MSM8255 platform that XPERIA arc. This is the second-gen Snapdragon with improved graphics performance, thanks to the updated Adreno 205 GPU.

According to have two benchmarks set out in the review, XPERIA play similar processing power to HTC desire HD. of course, it is still a beta drive so that things can be further improved before it hits the shelves.

There are also playstation Pocket app, which allows downloading of exclusive games to your phone. The service has so far not launched and there are no games to download so it has not been tested. Unfortunately, the reviewer does not know Sony Ericsson plans on these mobile gaming and although there will be a PS simulator.

The rest of the XPERIA UI seems to be playing the same identical to what we saw on the XPERIA arc. Timescape and new Media menu is also available on board.

BlackBerry Dakota photo and specs leak again

Good news for all Blackberry lovers! A new photo of Blackberry Dakota leaked today and it looks exactly like its prototype, which we covered Magnum almost a year ago. Only thing different is the trackpad that was added to the device, and shot in some of the specifications.

This BlackBerry, codenamed Dakota, will pack a 2.8-inch Capacitive touch display with a VGA resolution of 640 x 480 pixels and a full physical QWERTY keyboard. It rocks a 5 MP camera with flash can record HD video. Also included are 4 GB of internal storage and 768 MB RAM. What processor will drive it remains unknown, however.

A major addition is 3 G Mobile HotSpot that has been added, to allow the Dakota to spread some Internet love for the other devices around. Not to mention NFC connection. N Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and MicroUSB port come as any surprise.

In addition, Dakota will be delivered with the new Blackberry 6.1, announced yesterday on the BlackBerry DevCon Asia. The new version of the BlackBerry platform now supports the Magnetometer and Digital Compass APIs, OpenGL ES 2.0, an event-base geo-fencing location APIs and much more.

Rates and availability for BlackBerry Dakota remains obscure. Who knows, maybe RIM will shed some light to the Dakota at the World Mobile Congress.
