Microsoft releases first WP7 update, the one that you are not expected to

Microsoft has just announced the availability of the first update for its new Windows phone 7 mobile operating system. Unfortunately, it is not that which adds adds copy paste and we have all been waiting for.

Update applies instead to pave the way for future WP7 revisions, by improving the process for updating itself. So while this may not the thing you're looking for, is it really a good indication that approaches the big update.

To get this but you will need the latest version of the Zune is running on your computer or Windows phone Connector on your Mac. Then you will need to connect the phone via USB cable, and follow the on-screen instructions.

If for some reason, it seems too complicated for you, there is a step-by-step Handbook online. There are also links to required software on the page, but if you are using a WP7 phone you probably already have it.

First live pictures of the BlackBerry Bold Touch display a CO2 emissions back

Vivid images of Blackberry Bold Touch has given concrete form that the leak from the end of January. Photos of touchscreen-bar with a QWERTY keyboard to reveal a carbon rear instead of BlackBerrys customary faux-leather back.

We heard from bold Touch when press photo leaked back in January, and later with some more leaked photos confirmed it and detailed some of the advanced specifications. Some of them have now been confirmed, as well as the 2.8? VGA touchscreen and BlackBerry OS 6.1.

Anyway, the BlackBerry Bold Touch is allegedly superior anytime when it comes to touch experience. Your phone has an all metal frame and a coal battery cover. Leaked pictures set the thickness of the Bold Touch on 10.5 mm but it is still unconfirmed.

The images also mentioned the dual-mode connectivity (that is both CDMA and GSM 2 G/3 G) with a 1.2 GHz processor, but these specifications were not confirmed and no confirm nicely with all other Blackberry leaks in years.

LG Optimus 2 X first: how fast is the Tegra 2?

Will 2011 be remembered as the year that the dual-core processors made its breakthrough smartphone. We have this LG Optimus 2 X pioneer and we are going to give you a preview of what the dual-core CPU has to offer you today.

LG Optimus 2 X official photos

IT's not one of our typical previews, you will see here we will only focus on Optimus 2 X and hopefully Tegra 2 platform on the market. Normally we avoid collecting information about the performance of non-detaljhandeln devices, but this is so good that it almost becomes unfair to save your praise.

General: Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support. 3 G with HSPA form factor: touch screen bar phone dimensions: 123.9 x 63.5 x 10.9 mm, 139 g Display: 4 ' 16 M color TFT LCD Capacitive Touch screen, 480 x 800 pixels Platform: dual-core 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A 9 proccessor, Ultra Low Power GeForce GPU, Tegra 2 chipset OS: Android 2.2 (Froyo) memory: 8 GB of onboard storage, microSD card slot camera: 8 megapixel camera with auto focus, face detection and touch focus. 1080p video recording @ 24 fps and 720 p @ 30 fps connection: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, standard microUSB port, GPS receiver with A-GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack, micro HDMI port Misc: Adobe Flash 10.1 support, FM radio, proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, DivX and Xvid video support up to 1080p

It doesn't 't take a specialist to realize that LG Optimus 2 X is the most capable smartphone released so far. You can probably argue about a Retina SuperAMOLED screen or aren't t contribute more to the overall user experience, but as far as the smartphone tasks, Tegra 2 is what you want by your side.

Of course, it is only valid if the dual-core performance baby cashes all the checks that the LG PR wrote. Everyone wants to feel a significant improvement in performance and Optimus 2 X out, maybe burst the bubble.

Let s see what those benchmarks have to say about it. Join us after the break.

LG Optimus 3D teased in a video, we'll see it for the first time

It turns out the voltage LG Optimus 2 X generated over the last few weeks will be short-lived because the newer and cooler LG Optimus 3D is just around the corner, as seen in the following teaser video.

LG came out yesterday with a little press release announces that they will demonstrate the world's first 3D smartphone to the world at MWC 2011.

Optimus 3D, smartphone, it leaked a photo that we talked about a couple of days ago. Since it was not quite sure if this is the real deal, but now that we have the official LG teaser video, all lines.

We have extracted the image to the left from the video below and you can clearly see the resemblance with the phone leaked by Phandroid.

Another interesting thing here is that this new teaser video requires Optimus 3D The world's first Dual Core Multi Channel. Now Optimus 3D surely not be the first dual core smartphone (LG Optimus 2 X has the honour), so we bet the central part of this statement is "Multi-channel".

Yesterday we told you how the latest Android versions really aren't using dual-core Tegra 2 chip which lacks multitasking features. The only Android OS version that have official support for multi-core processors are actually 3.0 honeycomb. But this has not yet been confirmed for smartphones.

Google now has a honeycomb event today, then we should finally get everything about what honeycomb can and cannot do. So we guess, we'll soon know if Optimus 3D will be the first smartphone to run Android 3.0.

And now for video we promised you:

We count the days until MWC 2011, builds excitement really up. We love to see new tech we have never been seen before. Go ahead, LG, surprise us.

This is the first photo of LG Optimus 3D?

It was only a week ago that an e-mail message from LG called for us to get into new dimension at the event LG press at MWC 2011. And here's the first image of what would probably be LG Optimus 3D.

Here's a photograph. As with any rumor, a deal with a pinch of salt. Please note that your phone doesn't really like t see neither LG Optimus 2 X and Optimus 3D would be a 3D compatible version of 2 X.

As we reported earlier LG Optimus 3D should pack the 3D-compatible version of the Tegra 2 platform and a mobile 4.3-inch 3D display that was lifted back at CES 2011.

The first glasses-free 3D-screen handset will hopefully be announced at MWC 2011 in Barcelona in less than two weeks from now, and we couldn't be more excited about it, don't forget to keep some exclusive coverage and more detailed information about LG Optimus 3D.
