Palm Pre Plus webOS 2.1 in Germany starts now

Now is a surprise-HP officially confirmed that the Pre Plus do not get a chance to taste and yet this webOS 2 will update. Today the O2 Palm Pre plus owners can receive over-the-air firmware package that takes their smartphones to the latest webOS 2.1, seen only on the new HP Pre 3 and HP Veneer for now.

There is no information yet when other countries/carriers can follow and given that HP is apparently not much to update it cannot happen at all. We still hope at best.

Even if the OS update results in a temporary error, depends on your hardware as years old it would still be better to enjoy the latest and greatest of webOS on your smartphone.

So what are you waiting for, go and get it. Just don't forget to stop by the comments section below and tell us how it went and how performance is.

Both phones are listed as "not yet available" and "there's nothing about a potential release date. LG Optimus 2 X promised to come to Europe in January, but at this point-it's at all but certain that smartphone isn t going to make it in time. We hope, but that delay won t long and we'll get to see it on the street sometime in February.

LG was far less specific about Optimus black and its exciting offers new view tech and only said that it should be in the first half of the year. Still this Amazon listing gives us hope that we won t have to wait until June to see it in stores.

White version of the Nexus S hits Germany, retains sAMOLED

How hard can it be to make a white version of a phone? Not much seems to be the answer among some smartphone manufacturers, since the Nexus's will join the white phone party in Germany sometime next month.

The bad news is that only the back of the Nexus's will be white, the front panel is black as usual. However, it seems that the German Nexus S will feature the same Super AMOLED display that the United States and UK versions of the phone instead of Super clear LCD as was said yesterday.

How much is the white version will cost and who will provide it is still unknown.
